Lalibela, Ethiopia

These photos show the result of a few days of hiking through the highlands of Lalibela, a small town in the Lasta Amhara region, Ethiopia. It felt like a journey into the past, where the shapers travel long distances to trade their wares and live a traditional lifestyle in remote straw huts. The Gelda monkeys dominate the mountain tops and they are impressive to observe.
